The pictures of the uncased movement were taken before all the wheels were positioned and the work finished. There are a few teeth missing on the winding wheel, so you need to turn the crown back and then wind when you reach this point. The movement has been overhauled by my Watchmaker, so is in excellent cosmetic and working condition and keeping almost perfect time. The top plate is signed J P (Joseph Preston of Prescot, the Eminent Lancashshire ebauche maker, who supplied only the top finishers) and with Kuhlberg’s ref 16XO – sn 964. The s/n is 30964, has a plain cock with Freesprung hairspring and a Ruby End-Stone and can be either Stem Wound and Pin Set or Key Wound and Key Set from the back. It has a typical Kuhlberg 1/2 Plate movement with 22 Jewels & Kuhlberg’s keyless work, with Harrison’s maintaining power. The case is stamped with the Lion Passant Standard Mark, has a LONDON Assay Mark for 1910 and Case Maker’s Mark R N (Robert Benson North – Nicole Neilsen & Co. It has a White Enamel Dial, which is in excellent condition and has subsidiary dials for power reserve at 12.00 and constant seconds at 6.00. This is a SUPERB REVERSED FUSEE Pocket Watch by the well respected CHRONOMETER Making Firm of KUHLBERG, 105 Liverpool Rd.
